I reached out to a close friend, asking her if she was interested in writing something for this blog. She immediately answered yes and prepared this amazing devotion and poem I'm excited to present to you, God's Glory and Power in Creation, along with Created with Wisdom, a poem by Storm.
God’s Glory and Power in Creation
There are many things in this world that highlight the glory and greatness of our awesome God. Think of misty mountains at sunset, ocean waves crashing against shining cliffs, birds soaring in the bright blue sky, spring blossoms just beginning to bloom, and many more! Think of things that show God’s power, such as towering redwood trees, thunderstorms with lightning flashing across the dark skies, and again, many more! God our Father has such immense wisdom and knowledge: It is never ending!
God creates beautiful things beyond description, using intricate detail for everything. I mean, imagine this: A forest of dark-green, regal pine-trees standing tall against a majestic background of soaring mountains shrouded with mist. An eagle circles above the highest peaks, as if captivated at the stunning beauty God so carefully wove into everything around us.
Or how about this: A torrent of mighty rushing water cascades over wet cliffs that shine in the bright morning sunlight. A rainbow forms a bridge over the waterfall, and everything is glowing with millions of tiny droplets of crystal-clear water. If you saw this, you would marvel at God’s amazing ability to create things that make us stand in awe, in wonder, things with such immensely indescribable beauty.
Everywhere around us God’s glory shines out clearly. His majesty and skill are highlighted in everything He has made!
The very hands of the only true God, head of the universe, ruler over all, the VERY HANDS of this amazing beings created you. Formed you. God planned you. Every character trait, every skill, every weakness, God planned and designed it ALL!!!
The very mouth that spoke the word to command light to illuminate the darkness and send it creeping away to the shadows, the very mouth that did this, breathed life and purpose into YOU! You, you are God’s most important creation.
Can you imagine?
You were created by God.
Out of all the many wonderful creations of God, we are at the top.
God formed us to be the peak -- the very best -- of all his wonders.
That should make a mix of feelings go through you. You should feel special. Loved. Important. You have a purpose. So go tell everyone about this amazing God!!!
Created with Wisdom
With wisdom God created all,
All plants and creatures great and small.
The lions seek their food from God;
On grassy plains the buffalo trod.
He formed the moon to mark the seasons;
And everything he made has reasons.
So fire, hail, storms, and mist,
Praise the Lord for this.
And mountains, hills, fruit trees, and cedars,
Praise the Lord our great Creator.
Hidden in the rocks are little badgers;
And storks are housed in dark-green firs.
The goats find refuge in the mountains;
And in the oceans creatures swim.
And shouting together in unison.
All God's creatures praise Him.

Call me Storm. I've always loved writing, and the earliest "book" I remember writing was called Rainbow Finds a Friend. It was about horses and ponies, and one funny part I remember was that I called one of my chapters "A Rider Talks to Her". I love to write devotionals and study guides about God: I wrote a study guide devotional called Bible Exploration: 35 days studying God's Power. It worked out great. I also wrote a devotional called References and Recipes, where we study verses from God's Holy Word that include food, and then make a recipe using that food. I have created Scripture Journaling pages as well as Prayer Journaling pages. Another thing I enjoy is drawing. I have created step by step Adventure Missions to complete outside. Now I have written a guest post to put on my best friend's blog, and there might be more! I hope you enjoy my posts, and tell people about this blog!
I hope you enjoyed this wonderful post by Storm. Join me again for another post next week Thursday!
